Please note that as of June 26th 2017 The Microbiology department at Canterbury SCL has changed to the Hologic Panther system for nucleic acid amplification detection of the sexually transmitted infections - Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea and Herpes Simplex. The move from a batched to continuous process is expected to provide a significant improvement in turnaround time.

This change requires replacement of swabs and tubes for specimen collection. For further information on the new requirements please refer to the STI Genital Swab Guide below.
